A periodontal website that referring dentists and patients both understand

A periodontal website works when it explains gum treatment, implants and grafting in language a patient can follow, gives referring dentists a page that makes sending a patient easy, and turns both into requests your front desk can act on.

Findings

Whatusuallygoes wrongforperiodontalpractices

Four problems we see on most periodontics websites we replace.

  • Most patients arrive by referral and cannot find the page that tells them what to expect.
  • Referring dentists have no simple way to send records or check what you offer.
  • The treatment pages read like a textbook, so patients leave without understanding what the visit involves.
  • Implant and grafting cases that need a financing conversation never get one because the page does not raise it.

Referral and new-patient request

One form with two paths. A patient selects whether they have been referred and by whom, describes the reason for the visit, gives their insurance carrier and preferred times. A referring office selects the referral path and adds the procedure requested. Requests push into your practice management system or CRM tagged by path.

It is a request, not a confirmed appointment. Your front desk confirms every one.

Client words

Whatperiodonticspracticesdescribe

  • Our new patient appointments information finally sits beside the contact details that belong with it. Each service description carries its own local contact, and the form inherits it. The 'let me transfer you' routine has almost disappeared.

  • The new patient appointments form used to punish anyone who missed one answer. It points at exactly what needs fixing and preserves everything else. It now helps people finish instead of catching them out.

  • Honestly, the redesign was nice, but the inquiry form is what changed our day-to-day. The form gathers visit reason, preferred day and callback details at the start, exactly the details our follow-up messages always requested. Most mornings I can prepare for the callback from the first message alone.

Questions from periodontal practices

Can treatment pages be written for patients rather than clinicians?

Yes. Each page describes the treatment in plain language, what the visit involves at your practice and what to expect afterwards, reviewed by you, with a clear line that only an examination determines what is appropriate.

Do referring dentists get their own page?

Yes. It covers how to refer, the referral form, what records to send and how you report back, and it is linked from the header so it is easy to find.

Do you write articles about gum disease?

Yes, as general information that answers the questions people search, cites sources for any factual claim, and points the reader to a consultation. Articles are reviewed by you and never give a diagnosis.

How do you handle a first-visit page for referred patients?

The first-visit page explains what to bring, how long the appointment takes, what happens and how you communicate with the referring dentist. It is linked from the confirmation message.

Do referring dentists get their own section?

Yes. A referrer section carries your case criteria, the referral form, imaging requirements and the contact route for the coordinator, so the back and forth before a first appointment largely disappears.

How do you explain gum treatment without giving advice?

Pages describe what the visit involves at your practice, in plain language, reviewed by your team, with a clear line that it is not a diagnosis or a treatment plan and that only an examination can decide what is appropriate.

Can the site explain how periodontal treatment is billed?

Yes. The insurance and financing pages set out the carriers you accept, how periodontal benefits usually work at your practice, and any payment plan or membership option, so the cost conversation starts before the call.

Do you handle maintenance recall pages?

Yes. Maintenance, after-treatment care and what happens between visits each get a page, linked from the treatment pages and from the booking request confirmation.
